So yea, me and corran have been talking - since we have official album art and such, it makes sense that i atleast open up the forums to people who might be interested in getting a copy of the project in tangible cd form - professionally printed and such.

Right now things are kinda iffish, so i want to see how many people would actually be interested in this. We're still tallying up costs and figuring out whatsup, i dont want to really profit from this at all, so, ill be charging basically the raw costs+shipping.

The current estimate right now, it costs about 1$ per page, and 4 pages per 2 cds (1 set), then about 50cents per cd case, so it ends up being about 5$ per set. (or 2.50 per disc)

This isn't including blank cds to record to, or shipping. We also are looking for a way to print ON the disc professionally, but at this point thats up in the air.

Either way, you can expect the cost of getting one around 5-6$+shipping.

Depending on how many people actually want to do this (i plan on making about 10 for myself and family) the price may go down or things might change. Im working on getting a nice digital picture up - it looks really nice. This is more-so for the mixers then the listeners are the project tends to hold special value to them - but anyone who is interested i will atleast consider.

For now we will see how this thread treats us - if you ARE interested, then please say so - and tell me how many you would be interested in getting.

Basically, my school has a professional CD Printer/Duplicator. However, I am not there right now!

A friend of mine is going to ask our professor (who runs the lab with the CD Printer in it) if we can do this. If we can, I would probably have to purchase from him a spindle of printable CDs and ink for the printer. Therefore, I would probably want some compensation.

Basically, I think we can tack it on to the cost that you pay k-wix, and then that amount can be taken off of how much I owe k-wix (I also want 10 for myself). As for the cost, I'm sure it won't be more than a dollar, maybe two, depending on the number we produce. (Edit: Though if he's in a good mood, he might say go ahead and do it for free, which would be nice!)

But for right now, the CD printing is only a possibility. My friend will be asking our prof tomorrow, so I'll update you all after work.

I'm interested in getting one set for myself.
However, I'm not adept at holding onto money, and may very well not have enough by the time it's availible.
(If it becomes availible)

Well, it'd be cool, but:

1. Wouldn't that require me to give out my address? Otherwise I couldn't get it (unless you left in some secret spot for me to pick it up, but thats not gonna happen.)

2. I don't use CD's anyway. (Even though my MP3 player is really cheap and ran out of room weeks ago at 56 songs. :-\ )

Alright guys, I've got the okay from my professor.

According to him, the ink will be about $35, and the CDs aren't much. We will have to see how many CDs we need, but right now it's looking like it'll be a MAXIMUM of $1 extra per CD you want.

As for the address thing...well I guess it's up to you. Do your parents have a PO Box or something??

Ooh, I wish I could get one too. Sadly I got no money and even if I did, I'd get it, my mom would see it in the mail, and I'd have to admit I talk to people online which I'm really not supposed to do... You'd think I was 12...

*sigh*

I found ths remix Excellent!

The idea of making a professional CD, we can already make our own cd's using the things provided, though if you had extra things, it would be worth it!

Maybe signatures of everyone who helped make music/ all the Remix art in a little booklet/poster, etc.

Then Id most probably get it!

I would most assuredly do my very best to buy a printed CD set, I'm sure I'd even buy a couple extra for my friends and my mate who I know would enjoy it.
Now obtaining the signatures or any extra songs/things (Wouldn't paying more for it as well) would be a great addition, perhaps even sell two editions of the sets? I don't know, just rambling and excited that you would consider doing something like that, hope to see more on this. ^^

I wouldnt really be 'charging' people for the discs, i dont want to profit, i just dont have 100-200$ to blow on copies for everyone, so basically if you cover the material cost+shipping, i will send one to you.

As far as extras go, i'd be happy to sign them, but getting *everyones* signature down would be difficult.

Another 'free' or extra song would be pretty feasible, we will see.

Huh, I think this would be an awesome idea. I'd buy a set in a heartbeat. So how much was it decided to cost? Wait...is it even going to be printed? I'm a bit confused...
