| I only wish that Cave Story would see a GBA release, making it playable not only with the unit itself and the DS, but the GBPlayer on the 'Cube. I think the game is best enjoyed full screen. |

| Yeah, you're right. Ever since playing Jedi Outcast, I think alot of my remixes are made to where they can be modded into games. |

Well, if that should happened, then I'd like it if the story became longer.
It's more suitable. Other wise there shouldd be mini-games to make it longer. _________________ OOIIYY! Howzez life for ya?

But if it did get on PSP I would be pissed. PSP is the biggest piece of crap ever. I didn't want either of the new handhelds until I actually played some GAMES on DS. And then I got one, and then I played some more GAMES, and suddenly I have 12 DS games that are all very good. PSP...uh let's see Maverick Hunter X and that's about it. I don't want to play Madden 200X on a handheld (or at all) or the latest port of GTA. And seriously the DS graphics are awesome. If you haven't seen the opening anime scene for Castlevania DS, well it'll blow you away. Yes PSP has better graphics but who cares when you have like 2 good games (one still being a port, just graphically enhanced)?
Anyway, sorry for the rant. I am a bit jaded about the lack of support for ANY Nintendo console. My local Gamestop has a whole wall for the xbox, and then a little corner about 3 feet wide of new and used Gamecube games. And then there is a big PSP display and then the DS section is facing backwards into a wall on a little stand. Which is awful marketing considering DS is selling so much better than PSP...idiots. |
Actually the psp has some very cool Titles. All a matter of taste i guess but i really dig my psp and sometimes i think the games deserve a bit more credit then they get. There are a LOT of shit games out for the system, but there are some great gems.
Lumines produces an addiction that must be played to be understood. Seriously, it is hands down not only the best PSP game i've ever played - but the best puzzle game i have ever played.
AlphaMax3 is probably one of the best 2d fighters i've played in an extremely long period of time. Control can be awkward, but online play is a lot of fun. As a fan of the Alpha series this is by far the best.
Kingdom Of Paradise is a solid oriental-based RPG game thats kind've in the same style of the kingdom hearts battle system, you can customize complex move lists like an old PS2 game that i loved called Kengo. Very solid.
Grand Theft Auto is more of the same, but it allows homebrew on the all the later psp versions, which means i can play every NES and SNES game i own, which to me beats the pants of a lot of other stuff.
Generation of Chaos is a great Strategy RPG that has a large learning curve and extremely long/complex RPG battle scenes, but its increadibly tactical, I dig that sort've game sometimes
Monster Hunter Freedom isn't currently out, but im sure as hell looking forward to it. <3 Capcom. _________________ <3

For me, this is the only reason I might get a PSP one day. I just this week actually bought some equipment to run emulators on the DS, but as of right now it still doesn't work very well. It's a lot easier to run on PSP (plus yes it is more powerful).
Anyway, your right about preference. I'm not really interested in any of the games you listed other than Lumines (I am enjoying Meteos on DS right now, made by the same company).
Oh and of course PSP shouldn't be twice the price of a PS2!! |

WHAT?! Grand theft auto lets you play (insert whatever the hell they won't edit that has to do with old emulated games) on your psp?! You've gotta be kidding me, and I've had it all this time. I bought it for the multiplayer mode (which I abuse).
Yes, I did buy Coded Arms because of <3 Konami. So, bah to those who say it's shit. I enjoyed it. And still do. I also like Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee. I went and bought Twisted Metal for PSP as soon as it came out. Now I want to trade it in. I also somehow ended up with SpiderMan 2 for PSP... now the console versions were pretty good... but the PSP one is definitely NOT worth the time or money. I'm a big fan of Tetris (who isn't) so I'm looking into Lumines. I have Ridge Racer for DS, and it's not much good, compared to the outstanding psp version. Okay, end rant. _________________ -=sB=-

With emulators running on PSP, I think it's possible to run small PC games on it too...like Cavestory...
If only I knew how to hex edit... _________________ OOIIYY! Howzez life for ya?

that would be da bomb, but it's not likely as the pc version requires certain windows system files. if you do find a hex-edited version for psp however, MAKE SURE TO LET ME KNOW! lol _________________ -=sB=-
