I'd like to see this in the same order as the original game. I would think more players of Cave Story would appreciate it that way, as it follows the progression of the game (to some extent). As a result, these listeners will recall their adventure through the game based on their familiarity with the order of songs (eariler songs indicate ealier levels, etc.).

Just my thoughts on this issue.

I vote number 3, because, I like when the music goes smoothly and plays without I dunno... I just hate if I hear some super soft track and then suddenly its all like OMG IN YOUR FACE, it just kills the mood.

I think when some tracks get finished you'll be able to tell what to do with them better.

Tough call, really tough call.

I think we should wait to hear some songs first before we decide.

All I know is I hate those projects that flow from each song to the next with no break. It's cool and all, but listening to an individual song often sounds odd because the intro and outro have extra stuff and there's really no finality

So yeah I hope we aren't doing that.

I would like to see the tracks released in the same order they appear in the original soundtrack's track listing.
Plus, if people made mixes with that order in mind, they could cooperate so that the tracks would come out organized stylistically with easy listening in mind.

Hey all!

First off, props to starting up a great project! I found some Doukutsu remixes on the Doukutsu Uploader that I really enjoy listening to, and I'm looking forward to hearing this project when it's completed!

I'm not a mix artist, but I did want to stop by and lend my vocal support and give a hearty "Good on ya'!" about the project. Smile

As far as the poll, I would vote for number 2 (original soundtrack order), but feeling free to reorganize as under option 3 (easier listening and artistic ordering) to smooth out some of the bumps in the road. As long as some of the main original continuity is kept, a stylistic ordering could go over really well I think.

Thanks again!

Normally I'd stick with the original soundtrack order. It's always been that way for me, but I have to agree with Otaku that there are probably going to be plenty different genres on this project. For instance, I'm working on a drum 'n bass. Stick that behind something soft and sleepy, and you've got a mess. I'll vote when we have more mixes.
