Thats right, moving forward, i've decided to open this up for anyone would like to contribute to the 3rd and final disc for CSRP.
Anyone is welcome - i encourage all our old mixers to come back and all new mixers to apply. Basically - all i want you to do is say your interested, and then what song you would like to mix. Because this is a cd to finish what was not taken, I would like all the tracks we missed (Jenka 1&2, for example)to be covered...
BUT, if you want to take something that was already covered (such as teh Cave Story Title theme) that is okay too! i would like to LOAD up on tracks and deliver one huge finale to the project - so let me know if your interested!
Oh yes, and if your a new remixer, please let me see some previous examples of your work - i'd like to keep the quality at a very solid and respectable level. I hate to sound rude but just posting here doesnt guarentee any immediate status as being 'on the project' Basically you can consider this 'open signups' - and if you were involved in the Original Project, then dont worry about it - your definitely in if you want to be.
I'm going to list interest in tracks below: this does not indicate any final standard on who is mixing what, just a cumulative list.

Well I'm very interested! But I haven't the slightest idea for what track. So...yeah. I'll see what I come up with. _________________ My arrangements, original compositions, and recital recordings:

| I'd love to participate. Currently, I have some higher-priority projects going on, but once those are done, I should be free to contribute. "Mischievous Robot" and "Jenka 1" look appealing. Although I really want to give "The Way Back Home" a full remix, so I might just do that instead... |

Ok, so I'm not too good with the (generic) techno and guitar ReMixes as I've tried many times before. I'm thinking this time, I might try a piano version of Mischievous Robot. I started putting together a midi of it, and practicing on my keyboard. Hopefully I can come up with something nice. Also, I might add some of The Way Back Home to it, and make it into a sort of credits remix.
But then again, I might just end up sitting this one out again. I mean, I haven't had much experience.
We shall see... _________________ I'm such a noob... |

Requesting someone to make a cover of Rushjet's chiptune remix! Like make a rock/synth-fusion style out of it. Remix the remix! I think it would be a really cool idea to do that, and it wouldn't take much work especially if it were note-for-note (some minor/major additions would be interesting, though the arrangement in itself is quite good). I was actually going to try to do that myself. Might be good practice. I only have Reason 3.0, and I could play something simple on the piano, but I'm only a beginner and haven't recorded anything ever, so I definitely wouldn't make a solo piano piece.
As for me, I'm in a remixing mood lately, but I suck pretty much. Just a pipe-dream for me, but here's something I made a long time ago: Mario RPG - Smithy Boss Battle arrangement and here is something I made recently, which is actually just a massive overhaul of the first link, not necessarily in a good way. Whenever I try my hand at one of these original songs I'd definitely try to not make everything sound like it's in a sea of reverb, as well as have a more interesting percussive track. I sent Kwix a little drumnbass/experimental mix WIP of the Access theme in a PM already, but I haven't heard back. I heard there was a WIP of Access already, but don't see it listed. It's really the only track I wouldn't completely screw up since it's so short and simple.
And here's a joke mix =P I think the beginning is actually offkey a bit. I replaced one of the things with piano and it sounded pretty bad. I guess I'm not good at differentiating when two pretty different sounding samples are playing offkey from each other. But now I know I need to double-check. The ending is intentionally bad like this...as is the whole thing. |

I'll try to get my Access cover done. Probably something else, too.
Without lyrics, too, so I won't have any excuse for not getting it recorded. _________________

I'm interested in the possibility of doing *something* but I'm not totaly sure yet. I have about 2 personal remixes I'm working on, plus one or two tentative collaboratives I've been offered (one of which I havn't heard anything more on). On top of that, I've recently moved my dad's turntable and all my parents vinyl into my room so i'm busy organizing/experimenting with that too.
...still toying with the idea of a country/rap fusion for a new CS remix though lol _________________

| I really want to finish my song... That was seriously done in about 20 minutes, all first take tracks meant to be re-recorded, solo's 100% improvised and it sounds like it. Here's to hope. It was sposed to sound like this! |

This is definitely something I want in on, but I've about had it with Edirol Orchestral, and have picked back up on my Metal Gear: Ghost Babel remix project, so once again, no promises. _________________ -=sB=-
