I'm new here, so I'm going to assume this is the best place to to introduce myself. (Feel free to move this to be better thread if necessary).

*ahem*

I work under the guise "DJ Dain". I'm a composer, an electronic artist, a musician of a variety of instruments and a “bedroom DJ”. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't actually beaten/completed Cave Story (I find plat-formers sometimes a bit challenging myself), but it's a beautiful piece of work with quite excellent music to complement the game-play. I came across this project via the VGmix 2.5 forums and immediately contacted a good friend of mine to see if he wanted to work with me on such a project. He's not only a very big Cave Story fan, but a bit of a musician/composer himself (I'll let him introduce himself as he sees fit).

I've yet to select a song to remix with my partner in crime, but so far I have my eyes on either of the following: Meltdown 2, Last Battle, or possibly Cemetery.

I'll do my best to inform the project community ahead of time if we foresee any delays or problems with our music (March is a particularly busy month for me as I have finals coming up in mid-April), but I'll work hard on my part of this project with whatever time I can spare.

I'm looking forward to what magical musical fusion will result from all of this!

Basicly I just experiment and DJ in my own home. I don't have the skills/means to perform at any venues.

I guess it's my turn. Greetings. I am said 'partner in crime'. I'm a HUGE Doukutsu Monogatari fan, have played through (secret ending too) three or four times, at least.

I'm also a slightly amateur remixer/composer. Most of what I have done in the past are scarcely more than MIDI rips, but they've also been mainly for my ears only. With a big project like this I think I might be able to accomplish something more significant.

Tracks I like? Geothermal is probably my favourite, as well as Meltdown 2, Running Hell, and Last Battle.

I look forward to getting involved in the project and seeing what becomes of everything.

(just realized k-wix and I both have Balrog avatars - his is smiling, mine is not)

I know what it is... AOL sucks and doesn't work right with these forums, Firefox works fine though. So I'm not always a "guest"

Looks like we both agree on “Meltdown 2” and “Last Battle”. I'm more inclined to work on Last Battle since it has a much more "epic" feel to it. I think we could do some interesting things with that once we can pin down the original note structure.

I'm going to be toying with Running Hell too, I think. It has that 'furious battle while everything is exploding' feel to it.

I think we've decided to go with a combined mix of Running Hell and Last Battle, if that's alright. Please confirm this ASAP if it's okay.

Oh this is the "unserious" board so you probably want to make a formal request or whatever by emailing k-wix. Smile
